I am writing to express my interest in the Communications Intern position at __________. I was very excited to see this position opening via Boss, and I am eager to apply my skills, enthusiasm, and experience to the _______ By pursuing an undergraduate degree in Communications, I have had the privilege of having great professors who have taught me different marketing and communications skills. I have direct communications experience through my current internship with 21st Century Education Research Institute. I am eager to utilize my communication skills to promote education equity and innovation. I applied for this internship as it is an educational organization that analyzes the current educational issues in China. And it collected abundant innovative cases that are worth exploring. I can get first-hand resources on education in China. Through this internship, I accumulated a lot of experience that will help my job in the future. One of my jobs is to edit videos and post them on We Chat official account. Firstly, I improved my problem-solving ability dramatically.

To achieve the goal of stabilizing the number of plays at over 1,000. The second takeaway is that I realized empathy is crucial in communication skills. I should contact with education media and KOL and invite them to come to the educational conference. I realized that I should stand in their positions, thinking about what they can gain from this forum first. Then, they may be more happy to accept my requests. The final takeaway is that I should always keep the audience in mind. I encountered problems when selecting topics for those educators to record videos about the latest education issues. Since the target audience of our video official accounts is mainly teachers and parents. I can not only use exaggerated topics to grab people’s interest. It is important to talk about education seriously. And we must created high quality articles on our official account with well-polished sentences. I encountered a lot of challenges during this internship. However, I finally overcame it through critical thinking and strategic analysis. When I first came to the Institute, the WeChat video account was only in its infancy. It had a few numbers of followers and the video-watching rate was low.

My leader hoped that I could increase the number of plays to over 1,000. At that time, almost every video only has about 800 watching rates. It is hard to achieve that goal. To solve this problem, I carefully watched all the videos that have been released so far and analyzed them from three aspects: ethos, pathos, and logos. After I modified all of those elements, the number of videos I watched increased dramatically. The first new version of video gained 2800 watching times, over 100 likes, and above 50 comments. So, I am confident that I can offer you the enthusiastic, skilled, and experienced intern that you are looking for. Please feel free to email me at manqiwang031@gmail.com Thank you for the time. I look forward to hearing from you in the future! Amanda
